Not loading the correct stylesheets

For IonicIcons (and now Remix Icon), I have to manually include the stylesheet in the admin template. Is this intended behaviour? I'd expect https://github.com/trk/FieldtypeFontIconPicker/blob/master/InputfieldFontIconPicker.module#L221 to load the correct styles?
