I would like to thank the team for building GLiNER. The amount of personal information that gets passed around is concerning, and it has become even worse with the use of LLMs. I came across GLiNER when researching ML models that are small enough to run on end-user computers. A major requirement was that files be redacted offline without ever leaving the user's computer. The GLiNER PII Edge v1.0 model was accurate and lightweight enough for my needs. Thank you for building it. The app is named Total Redact and it's available for free in the macOS App Store. There's a demo here.
