Serp and Seedream currently advertise no tool titles or permission annotations, and their initialize icons contain a control character. The hosted Claude Code examples also reference an unavailable claude mcp login command.

This change classifies all 18 tools, restores existing public PNG icons, and directs OAuth users to /mcp inside a Claude Code session. Local reference tools are distinguished from credit-consuming searches and writes; image operations conservatively require consent. API inputs, defaults, pricing, routing, and task polling are unchanged.

Validation:

  • Serp: pytest -q -m "not integration" — 22 passed, 6 deselected.
  • Seedream: same command — 31 passed, 2 skipped; no billable integration calls.
  • Both packages: Ruff lint/format and mypy passed.
  • README inventory, 435-tool parameter aliases, 34 shared unittest tests and git diff --check passed. Generated PyPI README copies were refreshed with scripts/marketing_readmes.py.
  • Real MCP stdio clients initialized both servers, discovered 11/7 tools and ran local reference calls while the API base was deliberately http://127.0.0.1:9.
  • Production read-only probes on 2026-10-12 confirmed missing metadata and successful reference calls; existing API credentials were not persisted.

Distribution remains separate. Anthropic's current connector review criteria disallow AI image/video/audio generation, so Seedream is a custom connector/Claude Code compatibility target, not a directory submission. Serp still needs full Claude OAuth, every-tool review, a reviewer account, and directory policy review. See https://claude.com/docs/connectors/building/review-criteria.

No additional adversarial review was requested. Merge and publication are not authorized in this request; rollout is the usual MCPs source-to-mirror/release/deploy pipeline after review. Rollback is a normal revert of metadata/documentation changes.
