Release notes - DxP Data Logger v5.0

This release was optimized for expandability and LoRa sensor network operation. The following items were added:

• Micro SD card slot with load switch for low-power access to large memory storage. This functionality is especially useful when the data logger is configured as LoRa base station, enabling data storage for all the sensor devices in the network.
• 2.54mm expansion header for access to the NRF52832 communications interfaces and GPIOs, facilitating the development of expansion boards.
• LoRa SMA antenna connector
• Overall layout improvements

A batch of 50-100 v5.0 boards was manufactured in 2023, with no design-related issues reported since then.

This is the initial public release of the DxP data logger hardware design with:

• NRF52832 Bluetooth SoC
• 4 MB flash (MX25R3235FM1IH0)
• PCF2129AT Real-time clock
• TCA9803 I2C bus buffer
• External sensor probe load switch (TPS22919)
• On-board temperature sensor (TMP117AIDRVR)
• LoRa RFM95W-915 modem

This is the most extensively tested DxP Data Logger design to date. Over 250 units were manufactured since 2021, with no design-related issues reported.
