Closes #443

What

The agent now drives Workday's application wizard end to end, signed in as the candidate. BrowserCanSubmit(Workday) is true, so #277's account recipe finally has a run to fire in. Until now Workday rows were routed to copy-and-open.

Driver

  • AtsProvider: WorkdayApplyUrl(link) rewrites a posting link to …/job/<loc>/<slug>/apply/applyManually (query dropped).
  • BrowserSession: detects Workday by host and by data-automation-id markers, enters the flow (Apply → Apply Manually → Sign in with email), and settles the page until the control count holds still for 2 s. Sign-in types the credentials key by key (a fill is silently ignored), clicks the overlay submit, waits for a real complaint rather than a spinner, and reloads up to 3× until Workday's "Something went wrong" after an in-flow sign-in clears.
  • AccountCreator: Workday registration goes through the Sign in with email button first.
  • FormDiscoverer: Workday's button[aria-haspopup=listbox] selects are discovered as Select questions with a label; radios take aria-required from their group; ReadChoices opens the menus by name, drops the "Select One" placeholder and selected chips.
  • BrowserSubmitter: listbox and selectinput (chip) widgets are driven; EEO questions are declined; terms are ticked; already-answered and ticked questions count as mapped; Next is waited on for up to 30 s while Workday autosaves; a disabled Next on Workday hands back only the starred fields; FillWorkdaySections repairs held Work Experience / Education rows and adds up to 3 jobs plus every school; degree names are mapped to Workday's list.
  • AnswerDrafter: the phone rule is skipped when the question has options ("Phone Device Type").

Tests

  • WorkdayWizardHtml fixture with a /wd/step recorder; the wizard is walked three ways (hand-back → Review → real Submit) and a posting with no saved account names the host that needs one.
  • Gate and WorkdayApplyUrl theories; listbox discovery test; Greenhouse / Submit / Errors endpoint tests updated for Workday being driven (queued/retry instead of copy-and-open).
  • Env-driven live dry run Live_workday_wizard_is_walked_to_review_as_a_dry_run (APPLYTRACK_LIVE_WORKDAY_URL/USER/PASSWORD): against NVIDIA JR2015676 it walked all five steps to Review in one round with nothing unmapped (2026-10-13 01:11 CDT). Workday posts every Save and Continue, so BlockSubmissions harnesses cannot walk it: dry runs only.

Release

chore: prepare v1.68.0 release bumps all five version files.

BrowserCanSubmit now accepts Workday, so the agent walks the wizard
signed in as the candidate instead of routing the row to copy-and-open.

- AtsProvider: WorkdayApplyUrl rewrites a posting link to
  …/apply/applyManually with the query dropped.
- BrowserSession: Workday detection by host and data-automation-id
markers; EnterWorkdayAsync (Apply → Apply Manually → Sign in with
email); SettleWorkdayAsync waits for the control count to hold still.
Sign-in types the credentials key by key, clicks the overlay submit,
waits for a real complaint, and reloads until Workday's post-sign-in
  "Something went wrong" clears.
- AccountCreator: registration goes through Sign in with email first.
- FormDiscoverer: aria-haspopup=listbox buttons become Select questions;
radios take aria-required from their group; ReadChoices opens the
menus by name and drops the "Select One" placeholder and chips.
- BrowserSubmitter: listbox and selectinput widgets are driven, EEO
questions declined, terms ticked, already-answered questions count as
mapped, Next is waited on while Workday autosaves, a disabled Next hands
back only the starred fields, and FillWorkdaySections repairs the Work
  Experience / Education rows.
- AnswerDrafter: the phone rule is skipped when the question has options.
- Tests: WorkdayWizardHtml fixture with a /wd/step recorder; the wizard is
walked to hand-back, Review and Submit; env-driven live dry run; the
Greenhouse, Submit and Errors endpoint tests expect Workday to be
queued and retried rather than handed back.

📝 Summary

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • New Features
    • Workday applications can now be completed in the browser, including signing in, answering multi-step forms, and submitting applications. A dry run can proceed through the Review step without submitting.
    • Workday job links now open directly to the manual application flow.
  • Bug Fixes
    • Improved handling of Workday sign-in, required fields, dropdowns, and résumé details.
    • Workday errors now provide retry guidance.
  • Release
    • Updated the application version to 1.68.0.

Workday applications can now use browser submission. The change adds manual application URL routing, Workday-specific sign-in handling, wizard field discovery and completion, résumé-based work and education entry, and checks for required fields. Package versions are updated to 1.68.0.

Explanation

Issue #443 has active coding requirements. The summary establishes Workday routing, browser entry, form discovery, widget filling, section filling, and fixture coverage through Review and Submit. It does not establish the exact résumé reconciliation rules: removal of blank-company or overlapping-date rows and removal of trailing location words. It also does not establish that both How Did You Hear and Field of Study commit with Enter and verify the selected chip. The reported live POST-aborted run and real Candidate Home submission are validation activities, not coding requirements, so they do not determine this coding assessment.

3689-3695: 💤 Low value

Added work rows use the wrong index in their mapped ids.

n counts from 0 across all jobs, and Skip(held) runs after that count. When a draft already holds a row, the first added job keeps n = held. That part is correct. However, the ids for kept rows are built from i, and the ids for added rows are built from n, so the two can reuse the same number for different jobs if a kept row matched the job by title rather than by order. Build added-row ids from held + offset so each row has a distinct id.

Do not retry while the first Workday submission is pending.

The retry repeats go.ClickAsync or pass.PressAsync during the final ten seconds when the sign-in form remains visible, no complaint appears, and the URL and body have not both changed. Form visibility does not prove that the first submission finished. A slow response can therefore receive a second Sign In action while the first is still pending.

Before retrying, require an idle form state. Confirm that the password value is still present and that no Workday busy indicator covers or disables the submit control. Continue waiting instead of pressing again while the form is busy.

Do not fall back to the first option in a search box.

If no option matches the answer exactly, by prefix, or by substring, FillSelectInputAsync clicks real[0] and returns true. A required "How Did You Hear" or "Field of Study" box can then commit an unrelated choice. The run reports that choice as mapped, and a real run submits it. Return false when nothing matches, so the question goes back as unmapped.

Reconcile existing education rows before adding rows.

When the Workday wizard already contains an Education \d+ row, the current condition skips the entire education section. The method therefore does not fill blank school, degree, field-of-study, or date fields in that row. A required blank field can remain incomplete when the wizard advances.

Handle existing education rows using the same reconciliation pattern as work-experience rows, then add only the résumé education entries that have no matching existing row.
