Explanation of Change
Consumers were using
useOnyxwith a selector on policies to map each policy through a transform function. This is an incorrect use of selectors - selectors are meant to pick a subset of data from a single value, not to map over an entire collection. On top of being a misuse, it causes Onyx to rundeepEqualon the entire mapped result to decide whether to re-render.This PR introduces a
useMappedPolicieshook that subscribes to the policy collection without a selector, then applies the per-item transform inline. This eliminates the deep equality check on the full mapped collection.On the customer account with 5k policies, the time of
deepEqualwhen navigating to Reports tab drops from ~200ms to 10ms with the total amount of time spent on new hook of ~90ms, which in total gives us 50% improvement.Fixed Issues
