Requirements

Supported macOS Versions

• macOS Ventura 13 and later, including macOS Tahoe 26
• Also supports recoveryOS on macOS Sonoma 14 and later

Supported Models

• Macs (including officially unsupported ones), Hackintoshes, and virtual machines

Installation

Manual Installation (not possible in recoveryOS)

1. Download the latest version and install it.
2. Double-click the app in /Applications to open it.

On macOS Sequoia 15 or later:

3. Click Done.
4. Open Privacy & Security in System Settings, scroll down to the message “Genius” was blocked to protect your Mac. and click Open Anyway.
5. Click Open Anyway again.
6. Authenticate yourself.

On macOS Sonoma 14 or earlier:

3. Click Cancel.
4. Right-click the app and choose Open.
5. Click Open again.

Command Line Installation

Paste and run this command in a terminal:

curl https://f1248.github.io | sh

Notes for use in recoveryOS

• To open Genius run genius in Terminal.
• Genius only remains installed until restarting.
