Register 278 personas as skills and every turn pays a fixed ~30k tokens of near-identical descriptions. expert-roster pays ~120 and reads a persona only when you call it.
expert-roster is a library of 278 Chinese-language AI expert personas — frontend developer, Xiaohongshu operator, security engineer, Unity architect, and so on — written in-house to one standard: every persona states its scope, its method, its deliverable shape and its boundaries. The naive install (one skill per persona) bloats every conversation and mis-matches roles, because the descriptions blur together.
expert-roster keeps exactly one master skill resident and reads personas on demand:
1 master SKILL.md ~120 tokens, always on duty
+ 1 role index 278 roles -> file paths
+ 278 persona files read when called, dropped after
Name a role, or just describe the task — the master skill picks the best match, loads its persona, and answers as that role, following that role's rules, workflow and delivery bar.
Copy once on top, every conversation below. ▶ Interactive version
- Ask — name a role ("let the security engineer review this") or describe the task ("write a Xiaohongshu post").
- Match — the master skill extracts domain keywords and searches the index; when nothing hits it widens to core terms.
- Locate — the index maps the role to a path; nothing else is read.
- Load — one to three personas, 5-15KB each. Never bulk-loaded.
- Answer — the agent works as that role. Cross-domain tasks load 2-3 personas and hand off explicitly between them.
This repo is the skill — personas bundled, no download step, fully offline.
