Comments are not able to be read

As the title states, in the current version, the exported list just shows a bubble next to the item, with no text. This makes comments useless. Ideally, you would just place the text next to or under the item in question.

That's a misunderstanding of how it should be used.

When using comments, you should include the "Kinklist Link" (ie: https://goctionni.github.io/kinklist-v2/#HICNlhI).
Kinklist will use the ID in that link to fetch the image from imgur; in that image the data for the kinklist and including comments are encoded- and kinklist will let you see those comments.

It is not really practical to include all comments in the image itself, as the amount of space required on the image becomes unsustainable quickly.
