What changed

Adds a prominent top-of-README status banner: Research (demonstration retrieval for model-conditioned agents), not required to record, compile, or replay a workflow.

The banner routes readers to the canonical product — the demonstration
compiler openadapt-flow
installed via the OpenAdapt
launcher — using the org's canonical product-truth sentence.

Why

External review found the org's front door "refunds" the website's product
narrative: a visitor clicking through from openadapt.ai lands on repos whose
READMEs describe superseded directions. This aligns this repository with the
merged positioning in OpenAdaptAI/.github#2 (launch truth + repository
lifecycle), OpenAdaptAI/OpenAdapt#1012 (compiler refocus), and #1014
(canonical launcher).

Sources for every claim

  • Status label: REPOSITORY_LIFECYCLE.md / repository-lifecycle.yml at OpenAdaptAI/.github@main
  • Product-truth sentence: canonical truth string enforced by scripts/check_profile.py at OpenAdaptAI/.github@main (also the lead of profile/README.md)
  • "Healthy runs make no model calls" / halt behavior: docs/LIMITS.md at OpenAdaptAI/openadapt-flow@main

Diff is intentionally minimal: banner only.

🤖 Generated with Claude Code

Aligns this repository's front door with the org-wide product narrative:
the demonstration compiler (openadapt-flow) installed via the OpenAdapt
launcher. Status label matches the public repository lifecycle registry
in OpenAdaptAI/.github.
