The PR description has been updated to use the plugin addition template and includes the required Preview testing checkbox. The not-plugin label appears to be stale from the original non-template description. Could a maintainer please remove not-plugin when convenient? Please and Thank you!

Actively recruiting an independent Steam Deck tester for Spotify Connect.

Spotify Connect turns the Steam Deck into a Spotify Connect playback endpoint with Decky playback controls, playlist browsing, browser-based login, and configurable audio settings.

Testing requirements:

  • Steam Deck running the SteamOS Preview channel
  • Decky Loader
  • A Spotify account and a second device capable of selecting Spotify Connect targets
  • Willing to install Spotify Connect from Decky's Testing Store and post a testing report on this PR

The Store build is currently waiting for approval of its testing_env deployment. Once available, I am looking for someone to test browser login, device discovery, playback controls, seeking, volume, playlist browsing, service restart/recovery, and uninstall cleanup.

The PR description has already been corrected to the plugin-addition template; the remaining not-plugin label appears to be left over from the original description. I am actively seeking testers through the Decky community and will post progress here.
