feat: ACore Development theme, shop service fixes and improvements - #220
Adds the ACore Development theme (default, no dependencies) so every shop feature can be tested right away, plus fixes and improvements to the shop services.
Transmog item / item set: their cart validation never ran (the SKU with an id didn't match). SKUs with an id are now matched by prefix.
Character transfer: crashed when added to the cart (undefined variable).
Banned characters: refused for every service, not only transfer.
Restore deleted character: only accepts the account's own deleted characters (any id was accepted).
Guild rename: says "not in a guild" instead of "not a guild master" for characters without a guild.
No usable character: "Add to cart" is disabled and the page says why.
SKUs: service SKUs are saved in lowercase and read case-insensitively; existing products are converted once.
CarbonCopy: tickets are credited to the order's customer, refused SOAP replies are kept as order notes, and a SOAP error on one item no longer stops the others.
New
ACore Development theme:
installs and activates WooCommerce, myCred and WP 2FA, with versions pinned on WordPress 6.8
an info front page showing what's set up
a Store page, and a test product for every service
a test payment, prices in AzerothCore Points and an "Add points" panel
the AzerothCore logo for missing product images
Edit buttons and a "Shop admin" bar for product editors
Race / faction change restrictions:
combinations that can't change race are greyed out and refused (Tauren / Night Elf Druid, Blood Elf Paladin, Draenei Shaman)
a table under the character list shows which races each character can become
Character picker: characters are shown with race / class icons, name and level, like the Characters tab. Characters that can't use the service are greyed out.
"Included" notes:
Faction Change, Race Change, Customization and Name Unlock say what they include on the product page, in a pop-up on "Add to cart" and in the cart
Name Unlock also lists the inactivity needed per level, from its settings
SmartStone SKU builder: pick the type and id on the product page; the SKU and sub-category are filled in automatically.
WooCommerce admin dark mode: the WooCommerce screens follow the plugin's dark mode.
Docs updated: services, theme, defaults.
How to test
Run docker compose up: the theme activates and sets up the plugins, pages and products.
In .env, set DOCKER_ENVIRONMENT=development so everyone can use the test payment.
Buy each test product with the test payment, and check the result in game.
With an account that has no characters, check that the services can't be bought.
Summary by CodeRabbit
New Features
Added the ACore Development theme with a ready-to-use shop, test products, payment option, account navigation, and dark/light appearance controls.
Added searchable, category-based storefront browsing, points panels, and product-management shortcuts for eligible users.
Product pages now show character eligibility, service details, and availability; character selection highlights unavailable options.
Added clearer product setup and configuration guidance.
Bug Fixes
Improved handling of multisite theme activation, service purchases, and case-insensitive service SKUs.
Added dark-mode styling for WooCommerce administration and the content editor.
…used them
addCCTickets() sends the CarbonCopy script's CCACCOUNTTICKETS command over
SOAP. The command replies nothing when the tickets were added, but SOAP
failures come back as an error string (AcoreSoap::executeCommand catches
the exception) and the script answers refusals (amount out of range,
account not found) with text, and the old check only looked for an
Exception object, so those purchases were silently treated as done.
Any reply text now counts as "not added": it is written to the acore_log
WooCommerce log and added as an order note so an admin can credit the
tickets by hand. A failed item no longer stops the remaining order items.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
…ent user
payment_complete can run from a payment gateway callback, where
wp_get_current_user() is not the buyer, so the tickets went to an empty
account name. Use the order's customer, like Smartstone does; an order
without a customer gets an order note instead.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
AcoreSoap::executeCommand() creates the SoapClient outside its try, so a bad
SOAP configuration threw out of addCCTickets(): the item got no order note
and the remaining items were skipped. Catch it per item and treat the
exception message as the server's reply (not added, order note).
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
A small standalone theme (src/acore-theme, no parent theme or other
dependencies) based on the "Shop Example" work, moved out of the plugin:
- dark / light mode (toggle in the menu, remembered per browser)
- header menu: first N entries, the rest in a "More" dropdown
- [acore_store] store page: category tiles, product cards, search
- category tabs and badges on the WooCommerce shop pages
- settings in Appearance > Customize > ACore Theme
Development only (WP_ENVIRONMENT_TYPE development / local):
- categories and one test product for every ACore service SKU, a Store
page, classic cart / checkout (the services use the classic hooks)
- "ACore test payment": completes the order at once, so the services'
woocommerce_payment_complete handlers really run
- wp acore-theme dev-setup [--force]
Docker: the theme is mounted, WP_ENVIRONMENT_TYPE follows ENVIRONMENT, the
theme is activated once on fresh installs or in development (network-enabled
on multisite); existing production sites keep their theme.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
… set up
- renamed to ACore Development (src/acore-development); Docker activates it
once as the default theme, on existing installs too
- the test shop (categories, a test product per service, Store page,
classic cart / checkout) is set up whatever the environment
- new "ACore Development" front page ([acore_dev_info]): required plugins,
ACore SOAP / database settings and whether the game server answers
(admins only), your game account and characters, shop pages, payment
methods, and every service's test product
- ACore test payment: everyone in development, administrators otherwise
- WP-CLI: wp acore-dev setup [--force]
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
…tton
Without a Primary menu the bar listed every published page (Sample Page,
WP 2FA pages, ...); it now shows the ACore Development page, Store and
Shop. The header gets Log in (and Register when enabled) or the user name
(My account) and Log out.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
- the ACore Development page (and front page) is created even when
WooCommerce isn't active, so it can say what's missing; the shop is set
up once WooCommerce is there
- theme CSS / JS are versioned by file time, so browsers don't keep a stale
copy after an update
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
…erce
- WooCommerce, myCred and WP 2FA (the plugins ACore lists as required) are
activated automatically (network-wide on multisite) and downloaded from
wordpress.org when missing (administrator request, WP-CLI or theme switch)
- WooCommerce pre-set: setup wizard skipped, no "coming soon" page,
checkout needs an account (the services use the login)
- the setup keeps trying on each page load until WooCommerce is active,
then creates the shop; the info page shows each required plugin
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
Downloading needed an administrator, so a site opened by a regular user
never got WooCommerce. The list is fixed and comes from wordpress.org only,
so any page load may install it now; a failure is retried at most every
10 minutes and its reason is shown on the ACore Development page.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
…s a newer WordPress
The latest WooCommerce requires WordPress 7.0; on an older WordPress the
install now tries the newest patch of the previous releases (up to 4, from
the wordpress.org plugin API) and keeps the first that installs.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
Instead of trying older releases, install the latest when WordPress is new
enough, otherwise a pinned release that supports it (from each release's
"Requires at least"): WooCommerce 10.7.0 for WordPress 6.8, 11.0.1 for
6.9 (11.1+ needs 7.0). WP-CLI ignores the 10-minute retry wait.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
WooCommerce 10.1.4, myCred 2.9.4.5 and WP 2FA 2.9.3 on WordPress 6.8.x,
matching the live and dev sites; 6.9.x keeps WooCommerce 11.0.1.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
With myCred's own WooCommerce integration: the default point type is named
"AzerothCore Points" (unless already renamed), the store currency is that
point type (MYC, no decimals, "25 AzerothCore Points"), myCred's gateway
add-on is activated and "Pay with AzerothCore Points" enabled. The info
page shows the store currency.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
…points
- products without an image show the AzerothCore logo (whole, centred)
- product cards in a row have the same height; the button sits at the bottom
- points panel (Store and Shop pages, [acore_points]): balance, "Buy 100 /
500 / 1,000 / 5,000" or a custom amount; test points added to the myCred
balance (everyone in development, administrators otherwise)
- the header shows the balance next to the user name
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
Race change needs another race of the same faction that can be the
character's class (so not Tauren / Night Elf Druids, Blood Elf Paladins,
Draenei Shamans); faction change needs a race of the other faction that can.
Checked when adding to the cart (with the reason as the notice), and the
product page lists the account's characters that can't use it.
WotLK 3.3.5 class / race table, filterable (acore_char_change_class_races);
unknown (custom) races or classes are left to the server.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
Product data > Inventory gets a "SmartStone product" checkbox under the
SKU: ticked, the SKU field is greyed out and built as smartstone_<type>_<id>
from a type list and an id (also on save, plus the type's SmartStone
sub-category when it exists); unticked, the SKU is a normal SKU. A product
with a SmartStone SKU opens ticked.
The types (what `.smartstone unlock service` accepts: 0 Companion,
1 Combat pet, 2 Costume, 6 Aura, 7 Vehicle, 9 Class perk; 2 and 9 account-
wide) live in one list, SmartstoneProductAdmin::types() (filter
acore_smartstone_types), now also used for the cart labels and the
account-wide check.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
The admin theme layer (theme.css, --acore-* variables) now covers the
WooCommerce header bar and activity panel, home / analytics cards, the
product data box, orders, settings / status tables, select2 dropdowns and
the classic editor chrome; the editor's writing area (an iframe) gets dark
TinyMCE content styles.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
…he setup bar
Companion, Combat Pet, Costume, Aura, Vehicle, Class Perk (Mount can't be
granted by command); WooCommerce's "x steps left" reminder bar is hidden.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
…tively
- saving a product lowercases an ACore service SKU (smartstone_, itemsend_,
transmog-, char-, name-unlock, item-restoration, guild-rename,
carboncopy-tickets; filter acore_service_sku_prefixes)
- existing ones are converted once per site; one whose lowercase SKU is
taken by another product is left and listed in an admin notice
- SmartStone, item send and transmog read their SKU case-insensitively, so
e.g. Smartstone_9_37 works before it is converted
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
…tidy categories
- "0 AzerothCore Points AzerothCore Points": myCred already adds the name
- without permission to buy test points the panel explains when it's
available instead of showing nothing
- the old SmartStone "Mount" category is removed when empty; "Pet" / "Perk"
become "Combat Pet" / "Class Perk" if still named as the theme made them
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
The points buttons say "Add 100" / "Add" and update the balance (panel and
header) through AJAX without leaving the page; without JavaScript the form
still posts and comes back to the same page.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
Characters whose race/class combination can't change race or faction are
disabled in the character dropdown ("(not possible)") and never
pre-selected. Under the dropdown each one is listed with its race icon,
class icon, name and the reason. The cart check stays server-side.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
Under the dropdown, a table per faction shows each character (race icon,
class icon, name) against the races it could become: a check when
possible, a cross when not, the current race as a dash, with the reason
as a tooltip. Race change shows the character's own faction, faction
change the other one; the variable product shows both. The characters
that can't use the service at all are listed below in red, with the
reason as a tooltip too.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
The current race cell shows the character's race icon instead of a dash.
The faction change table gets a "Current" column with the race icon, so
both tables read the same way.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
Fixed table layout: the name column is as wide as the longest character
name (plus the two icons) and every race column is 72px, the same in
every table on the page.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
Race icons get the faction color border and class icons the class color
border, like the characters list (AcoreCharColors::iconVars, the same
race-icon / class-icon classes so the dark mode colors apply). Used in
the table rows, the race headers, the current race cell and the red
list. The faction change table drops the "Current" column.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
The character dropdown on every service product now looks like the
characters list: each option shows the race and class icons with their
faction / class borders, the name and the level, with the row borders
in the class / faction colors. Characters that can't use the service
are greyed out and can't be picked. It drives the hidden
#acore_char_sel select, so the form and existing change handlers keep
working; keyboard (arrows, Enter, Escape) works too.
The "Not possible for" list is a panel with the icons, names and
reasons in aligned columns.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
Fixesazerothcore#184 and the same gap in other services:
- name-unlock required a field that doesn't exist (acore_unlock_name),
so it was never validated: without a character it could be bought and
never delivered. It now needs a character and the name to unlock.
- transmog-item_<id> / transmog-itemset_<id> SKUs never matched the
list, so their validation never ran. SKUs with an id are now matched
by prefix (itemsend too), case-insensitively.
- character transfer used an undefined $charBanRepo (fatal error).
- banned characters are refused for every service, not only transfer.
- deleted character restore only accepts the account's own deleted
characters (it accepted any guid).
- when the account has no (usable) character, the product page greys
out "Add to cart".
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
WooCommerce's placeholder is an uploaded image (woocommerce_placeholder_image)
rendered without the src filter, so the shop cards still showed the grey
placeholder. The placeholder <img> is now replaced with the logo
everywhere WooCommerce uses it (shop, cart, checkout).
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
Users who can edit products (administrators, shop managers) get:
- an "Edit" button on every product card (shop, categories, Store page)
over the image's top right corner, "Edit product" on the product page
and an "Edit" link next to each test product on the info page;
- a "Shop admin" toolbar (Manage products, Add product, Categories) on
the info front page, the Store page and the shop pages.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
Guild rename only checked for a guild master and told a character
without a guild that it "is not a guild master". It now checks the
guild membership first ("not in a guild"), then the guild master.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
…nclude
On the product page (the chosen option's note for the variable product)
and in the cart / checkout:
- faction change: also a rename, a customization and a race change;
- race change: also a rename and a customization, not a faction change
(linked to its product);
- customization: a rename, a gender change and face / skin.
Filter: acore_char_change_includes.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
…art"
Faction / race change and customization show what they include in a
pop-up when "Add to cart" is pressed ("I understand, add to cart" or
"Cancel"); the note stays on the product page too. For the variable
product it's the chosen option's note.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
… unlocked
The name unlock shows on the product page, in the "Add to cart" pop-up
and in the cart that it includes the rename (no character rename to buy),
and the inactivity the name's character needs per level, built from the
"Inactivity Thresholds per Level" setting (and the subscription rule
when memberships are on).
The note + pop-up moved to FieldElements::serviceNotice so any service
can use it.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
What the service does, the example and the subscription note, and that
the rename is included. Setup version 7 updates the existing test
product when it still has the old text.

- configure-cms: what each character service includes, the race /
faction restrictions, guild rename / name unlock requirements and the
inactivity thresholds, the SmartStone SKU builder and types,
case-insensitive SKUs, the character list, the "included" pop-up, the
cart checks, the filters, and the WooCommerce admin dark mode.
- themes: the plugins the theme installs (and the pinned versions on
WordPress 6.8), AzerothCore Points and the Add points panel, the logo
placeholder, the edit buttons and the shop admin bar.
- README: the ACore Development theme is included and the default.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
The PR adds the ACore Development WordPress theme and its setup, storefront, and development tools. It also updates WooCommerce service validation and presentation, CarbonCopy ticket processing, and dark-mode styling for WooCommerce admin screens and TinyMCE.
Initialization sets WP_ENVIRONMENT_TYPE, activates the theme, and attempts network activation on multisite. Docker mounts the theme. The theme adds its WordPress bootstrap, page templates, base styles, and WooCommerce placeholder image handling.
Appearance and navigation src/acore-development/inc/customizer.php, src/acore-development/inc/appearance.php, src/acore-development/inc/navigation.php, src/acore-development/assets/js/theme.js, src/acore-development/assets/css/theme.css
The theme adds Customizer settings, dark/light mode switching, account and primary navigation, and “More” dropdown behavior.
Store and WooCommerce storefront src/acore-development/inc/store.php, src/acore-development/inc/shop.php, src/acore-development/inc/product-admin.php, src/acore-development/template-parts/store.php, src/acore-development/assets/js/store.js, src/acore-development/assets/css/store.css, src/acore-development/assets/css/shop.css, src/acore-development/assets/css/theme.css
The theme adds a category-filtered store, product listings and controls, shop category tabs and badges, and responsive storefront styling.
Development-site setup and tools src/acore-development/inc/dev/*, src/acore-development/assets/js/points.js, src/acore-development/assets/css/theme.css, docs/themes.md
The theme adds plugin setup, WooCommerce and myCred defaults, test payments, a development information shortcode, points-purchase forms, and a WP-CLI setup command.

Explanation
The title "feat: ACore Development theme, shop service fixes and improvements" matches the main changes. The PR adds the ACore Development theme with its setup, plugins, test products, and test gateway. It also includes shop service fixes such as Name Unlock validation, SKU handling, and race/faction checks. The title is specific, and the theme is the primary change.
Full details: Linked Issues check
Explanation
Issue #184 requires Name Unlock to reject accounts without characters, explain that the service cannot be used, and prevent an unusable purchase. CartValidation now registers name-unlock, validates account existence and character ownership, and requires a non-empty name. FieldElements disables Add to cart when no eligible character exists and renders the blocked-service explanation. The summary also reports prefix matching for service SKUs, which enables validation for ID-bearing products. No separate automated-test requirement appears in the linked issue. The PR reports no test results, but the implementation evidence supports the requested behavior.
Full details: Out of Scope Changes check
Explanation
The changes remain within the current PR intent. The ACore Development theme, shop setup, test payment, character picker, race and faction eligibility, SKU handling, service validation, CarbonCopy handling, WooCommerce dark mode, and documentation directly implement the PR description. Supporting theme assets, setup code, admin integration, and UI changes support those objectives. The excluded logo image is an intentional review exclusion and does not create a scope finding.

- Line 24: Update SmartstoneVanity::add_to_cart_validation to verify the
logged-in buyer has an account and that the account is not banned, rejecting the
purchase otherwise. For character-specific SmartStone items, confirm the
selected character exists, belongs to that account, and is not banned; preserve
the existing account-wide item path without requiring a character.
Review comments at @src/acore-wp-plugin/src/Hooks/WooCommerce/FieldElements.php:
- Around line 180-181: Update the selected-item rendering in FieldElements so
the initial picker label uses the label already built by charList for the
selected character, rather than relying on getName() when restoring a deleted
character. Keep the existing item rendering behavior and use the matching option
label from the options list.
Review comments at @src/acore-wp-plugin/src/Hooks/WooCommerce/NameUnlock.php:
- Around line 97-99: Update the threshold-label formatting in the displayed
range expression so each non-final row shows a bounded, non-overlapping level
interval based on adjacent thresholds, rather than “and below.” For the final
row, label the range as applying from its threshold and above, including levels
above 80; preserve the existing translation mechanism.
- Line 85: Update the threshold filter around the level-and-days condition so
valid zero-day thresholds are retained in the displayed rules, consistent with
validation; continue excluding nonpositive levels and negative day values.
Review comments at @src/acore-wp-plugin/src/Hooks/WooCommerce/SkuLowercase.php:
- Line 32: Update the SKU normalization flow around lowercaseOnSave so Quick
Edit and imports are covered, not just the admin product-object save hook.
Ensure CartValidation and CharChange use a consistent normalized SKU, and
prevent unresolved mixed-case SKUs from being sold if normalization fails.
Review comments at @src/acore-wp-plugin/src/Hooks/WooCommerce/Smartstone.php:
- Line 20: Update the SmartStone checks that enforce the quantity cap, validate
login, and allow the unlock workflow to use the parsed SKU from getItemId or a
shared case-insensitive comparison, so mixed-case SKUs such as SMARTSTONE_9_37
receive the same purchase controls as lowercase SKUs.
Review comments at
@src/acore-wp-plugin/src/Hooks/WooCommerce/SmartstoneProductAdmin.php:
- Line 96: Update the `update()` logic so incomplete SmartStone type or ID
fields do not submit an empty `_sku`; preserve the existing SKU until both
fields are present. Ensure `SmartstoneProductAdmin::save` rejects an incomplete
save without replacing that SKU.
- Around line 97-98: Update the SmartStone checkbox handling around the sku and
typedSku values so unchecking an existing SmartStone product clears its
generated service SKU or persists an explicit opt-out; ensure saving does not
let parseSku() re-enable the checkbox based on the old SKU.

Theme
- the setup (plugin downloads, shop settings) only runs for administrators
or WP-CLI, also in development; Docker init runs wp acore-dev setup
- plugins are only downloaded when allowed (administrator / WP-CLI)
- info page: database errors only shown to administrators (logged otherwise)
- escaped charset meta
- shop category badge printed after the product link (no nested links)
- Store: SKU prefix check case-insensitive; category tiles only for the
categories of the loaded products (per_page)
Plugin
- CarbonCopy: no tickets reported as added when the game account doesn't
exist (checked first) or the server gave no answer
- SmartStone: the buyer's account must exist and not be banned; the
character must be theirs and not banned; SKU checks case-insensitive
- service SKUs are lowercased on every save (Quick Edit, import, REST)
and always read as lowercase, so a mixed-case SKU can't skip a service
- SmartStone SKU builder: an incomplete type / ID keeps the stored SKU;
unticking clears the generated SKU so the box doesn't tick itself again
- character picker: a deleted character's name shows on the button
- name unlock: non-overlapping level ranges, 0-day thresholds listed

wp acore-dev setup --if-needed skips when this theme version's setup has
completed, so restarting the container doesn't reset shop settings
(currency, guest checkout, ...) an administrator changed afterwards.
