Summary

  • Adds ADR-0002: use GIMP Palette (.gpl) files in a user-managed ./palettes/ directory as the palette library
  • Records the Palette vs Scheme terminology distinction: a palette is the stored, re-usable .gpl artifact; a scheme is the per-drawing mapping of role names to palette colors, created in drawing code and never stored
  • Decides on our own minimal .gpl parser (against the official spec), naming anypalette as the candidate replacement
  • Decides on --setting.scheme=<palette-name> (singular, consistent with the existing runner convention)
  • Follows the adr-editor template; status proposed pending review

Verification

  • Documentation only; no code changed
  • File is hand-wrapped to the repo's ~72 char style; CI's fmt check will confirm

Records the decision to use GIMP Palette (.gpl) files in a
user-managed palettes/ directory, loaded by our own parser, with
roles assigned per-drawing in drawing code (schemes are not
stored).

CI runs deno fmt --check, which reflows markdown to 80 chars,
aligns tables and normalizes bullets.
