omadia is a self-hostable agentic OS: compose multi-agent teams from signed plugins, run them on your own machine, and get an auditable trail for every action. This plugin makes OpenAI one of the LLM providers those agents can run on. Main repo: byte5ai/omadia.
| Model | Class |
|---|---|
| GPT-5.6 Sol | frontier |
| GPT-6 Astra | frontier |
| GPT-5.6 Terra | balanced |
| GPT-5.6 Luna | fast |
Agents ask for a class (fast, balanced, frontier). omadia maps the class to the model, so an agent never hard-codes one.
A declarative provider plugin, so it ships no runtime provider code. The omadia kernel reads the llm_provider block from manifest.yaml (id, base URL, models) when the plugin loads, before any agent activates, and registers it in the provider catalog. OpenAI speaks the canonical OpenAI Chat Completions API. GPT-5 tightened the schema, so the manifest declares the max_completion_tokens quirk to keep requests valid.
- Install from the plugin hub in the omadia admin UI (Store, Upload), or drop the built ZIP in directly.
- On the admin Providers page, paste your OpenAI API key. omadia stores it encrypted in the vault under
provider:openai/api_key. - Assign OpenAI and a model to an agent: the orchestrator, a sub-agent, or the verifier.

Override for Azure OpenAI or any OpenAI-compatible gateway. |
The key is set centrally on the Providers page, not per plugin, so the orchestrator reads it from the shared vault scope.
