David Peters

I am a Computer Science undergraduate at the University of Lethbridge

I enjoy a lot of things, namely programming, video games, music and creative outlets. Problem solving and creative ideas are what get me excited about coding, and I love opportunities to tackle unique problems or ideas with new tools and stacks

Work

Student Bioinformatics Programmer at Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (Jan 2026 - Current) working on developing and deploying science applications onto the Red Hat OpenShift platform and integrating these tools with the Government of Canada's high-performance computing cluster

Research

Exploring novel local search decomposition techniques on large, non-deterministic optimization problems for both AC and DC Multi-Period Optimal Power Flow problems
