One Shoter

Governed delivery skill for AI coding agents. Use it when software work must be legally safe, decomposed into small steps, spec-first, and verified before completion.

Works with Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, Windsurf, Cline, and 60+ other agents via the open Agent Skills format.

skills.sh

Author: Mohammad Hamarsheh

What it does

One Shoter guides agents through:

  • Missing-information review before planning or coding
  • PRD/spec-first decomposition
  • Copyleft and license-risk gates
  • Dependency and compliance review
  • Verification and residual-risk reporting

Install

One command (recommended)

Uses the Skills CLI:

# Install to all detected agents in the current project
npx skills add hamarshehmhmd/one-shoter -y

# Install globally (available across all projects)
npx skills add hamarshehmhmd/one-shoter -g -y

# Install to every supported agent without prompts
npx skills add hamarshehmhmd/one-shoter --all -y

Pick specific agents:

npx skills add hamarshehmhmd/one-shoter \
  --agent claude-code \
  --agent cursor \
  --agent codex \
  --agent windsurf \
  -y

Preview without installing:

npx skills add hamarshehmhmd/one-shoter --list

Manual install

Clone into your agent's skills directory. Common paths:

Agent Global path Project path
Most agents (shared layout) ~/.agents/skills/ .agents/skills/
Claude Code ~/.claude/skills/ .claude/skills/
Cursor ~/.cursor/skills/ .cursor/skills/
Codex ~/.codex/skills/ .agents/skills/
Windsurf ~/.codeium/windsurf/skills/ .windsurf/skills/

Example (works for most agents):

git clone https://github.com/hamarshehmhmd/one-shoter.git ~/.agents/skills/one-shoter

Usage

Invoke the skill the way your agent supports skills:

Agent How to invoke
Cursor /one-shoter or @one-shoter
Claude Code /one-shoter
Codex / OpenCode / others Follow your agent's skill docs, or mention the skill in your prompt

Example prompts (any agent):

Use one-shoter to plan this feature before coding.
We need a new npm dependency — run the license review workflow first.

When to use

Use One Shoter when the task involves:

  • Legal, licensing, compliance, or confidentiality concerns
  • Incomplete or ambiguous requirements
  • Feature work that should be decomposed into reviewable slices
  • Production-grade delivery with explicit verification

Skip it for trivial edits with no process or legal risk.
