setup.py now takes the version from jesse/version.py, so a release changes a single file. The release workflow compares the pushed tag with jesse/version.py. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>

setup.pynow reads the version fromjesse/version.pyinstead of repeating it, so a release bumps a single file.setup.pyparses__version__fromjesse/version.pyas text. It doesn't import the package, which would pull in Jesse's dependencies during the build.jesse/version.py.Checked locally:
