Thunderbird 157.0 breaks Quick Folder Move #271

Same question here.
Happy to provide some help/feedback if useful...
I was able to get the add-on working again by updating the "manifest.json" file.
In the existing file, you'll see a line entry: "strict_max_version": "141."
If you change it to: ""strict_max_version": "157.", the_ add-on now works with Thunderbird 157.0.
Obviously, there are a few more steps involved to repackage the files and folders into an ".xpi" file.
I used Open AI's Codex, with a very cautious step-by-step prompt, to get it all done, and it worked seamlessly.I was able to get the add-on working again by updating the "manifest.json" file. I did likewise, and changed the value for "version". Seems to work.
Reacted by TAA204Same here - doesn't do anything after the latest upgrade... quite unfortunate (without that app my mailbox will explode within days)
I used OpenAI's Codex to troubleshoot the issue [it's a matter of changing "141" to "157" in a file], and it worked to restore the add-on. I'm using the add-on now, and as you noted, my mailbox would burst with out it.
If you use Codex, and request a cautious step-by-step process, you should have success. Although I've used Codex and ChatGPT extensively, I'm not a programmer, and it worked seamlessly.... I don't even find the string "strict_max_version" in any of the files.
I searched all over ~/Library/Thunderbird/Profiles/xxxxx.default/extensions
I moved the xpi out of the library folder, unpacked it - no cigar so far.
@kewisch , do you mind updating the max_version in the Marketplace again? 😉
@scnrse , you'll find the text string in the "manifest.json" file.
Would love an official fix for the issue, and realizing how much I enjoy this add-on (and as a former SWE myself) I made a small donation for your great work, @kewisch. Thank you!
I found that as a workaround it is possible to remove the entire line with the
strict_max_versionin themanifest.jsonfile.Close thunderbird
Go to the extensions folder (in windows: %appdata%\Thunderbird\Profiles[your profile id]\extensions)
Open the .xpi filequickmove@mozilla.kewis.ch.xpiin 7zip
Edit the manifest.json file (remove thestrict_max_versionor update it's value) and save it.
7zip will ask to update the zip, say 'yes'.
Reopen thunderbird and wait a bit for the extensions to load. Maybe you have to restart it again and Quick Folder Move will work again.I noticed that the value was 141.* in the extension, while I was running 156 before and that was working fine.

I've bumped it on addons.thunderbird.net now, hope everything works as expected!

May require checking for updates in the Add-ons Manager.
Many thanks, @kewisch, for the update.
Thunderbird has just updated to 157.0, and it now says Quick Folder Move is incompatible with 157.0.
Any chance QFM can be updated so it works with 157.0?
