Explore how to make text readable on background images in a nice way

The Text on the home screen has this outline, but the Icons don't have an outline at all. This makes the design look inconsistent.
Maybe also make the border customizable or completely optional.
A selection of borders and shadows for the icons and for the text would be awesome, so I can truly make it my own.

I probably need someone who uses a background image day to day to take a look, and fix it in general. Because I'm using black day to day and anything I do is probably not fully thought through.

For now there is also the text and icon backdrop slider, which disables the border, maybe you like that more.

I use wallpapers

What I would like to see is something like a dropshadow

like the glow you can apply on black wallpaper but with opposite color of the font

If the font is white the glow could be black or other color user wants

I'll use this Issue instead of creating a new one, I think it would be a great addition to have an option to dim the wallpaper or maybe even use blur or any similar effect on the app drawer. I use a "minimalist" wallpaper and while it looks good on the home screen it makes the app drawer text sometimes unreadable.

What I do

I make 2 wallpapers

One normal for the lock screen and one for the launcher

This one I pre apply brlur and frosty effects so it looks like it "blur" when I unlock the phone

Its the best we can get at the moment and looks great imho

And fits with the fokus aesthetics
