[Event Request] "Item Jnl.-Post Line" Publisher OnBeforePostItem New Parameter ItemReg

Why do you need this change?

In our module we will create additional entries together with value entries, capacity entries and so on. I need the "Entry No." of the Item Register so that I can link all the entries together. It will suffice if the ItemReg is added as a new parameter and not var.

Implementation Notes:

• Parameter name: Changed from ItemReg (as requested) to ItemRegister to follow event parameter naming convention (full table name without spaces)
• Parameter placement: Added at the end of parameter list to maintain backward compatibility
• Parameter type: Non-var as requested (read-only access)

⚠️ Important: The OnBeforePostItem event fires at the beginning of the PostItem procedure. At this point, ItemRegister."No." may not yet be initialized (could be 0). The Item Register gets its Entry No. assigned later during posting. Subscribers should check if ItemRegister."No." <> 0 to determine if the register has been initialized.

📝 Note: The PostItem procedure is called from multiple places in the codebase for different posting scenarios. If you need your event subscriber to fire only in specific scenarios, consider using Manual Event Subscription Binding.
