Game name changes with language setting

What's your idea?

Games from various platforms usually have localized names in multiple languages. However, currently, regardless of the language setting in Ludusavi, the game names in the list are always displayed in English. So, could we make the game names change according to the selected language?

I discovered Ludusavi just a few hours ago. From my limited understanding so far this would require maintaining multiple languages in the manifest database. The data is pulled from PCGamingWiki.

I solved this on my end by adding game aliases. This feature works perfectly for this. The aliased names are shown in the GUI and on the CLI.

* Ludusavi can't display non-Latin characters for some reason.

Yeah, that's the current intended solution for this 👍 Manifests can define aliases, but they can't be used for display-only purposes like you can with custom games as aliases. I could look into adding support for that in manifests, though.

I'm surprised the non-Latin characters aren't displayed for you. They work on my system, but maybe there's an issue with font discovery in the Flatpak version? This is on my Windows system:

Right-to-left scripts aren't supported yet, but pretty much anything else should work with a font on the system.

Is it possible to maintain a game name list? We can fetch localized names for most games from Steam API. Missing entries can be added via PR or Issue.

Yes, I think that would be possible once I add support for display aliases coming from secondary manifests (rather than just from custom game entries) :)
