Rules are evaluated in the order they appear, and the first matching rule determines the redirect destination.

For example, use `301` for permanent redirects and `302` for temporary redirects. This helps to avoid unintended consequences for SEO and caching as `301` redirects tend to be cached for a long time by browsers.
