The changes that I made are:

  • changed the runs-on tag.
  • changed the install native tools in order to use pacman and all the nessesary tools for arch linux.
  • built the package with makepkg.

However, I have some questions:

  • Is the runs-on tag correct, or should I write something else?
  • should the directories pkg/ and UniDesk/ be in output_package? Should they be made or should they be removed after the makepkg?
  • Is there anything else I need to change?

Thank you.

  • Alright here's the thing, apparently github does not have an Arch Linux runner so I'll have to introduce a organization wide Arch runner later this evening. Your answer can also be answered by the time that your CI/CD pipeline is waiting to run, currently it's waiting about 7hrs.
  • No let's just leave *pkg.tar.zst in this one we don't need to bring the whole family.
  • Don't remove things, those files are in a runner not in the actual repository, that's why we don't really care about them.

I will tag you later when I get around creating the self-hosted runner so you can check if your work is okay. It will pass or it will fail and then we can see the logs to understand what's going on.

So... the CI/CD pipeline started. The logs showed an error. I have an idea how to fix it. Can I proceed?

Yes you can, there is no need to ask for permission to solve errors generated in your branch. If the solution involves changing repo wide rules then ask, if it is in your branch it's okay.
