Write the note, then send it out from the same window. This plugin takes the note you have open, or just the part you selected, and creates a post in Publora: published right away, scheduled for a time you pick, or saved as a draft. Images and videos in the note go with it.
Publora covers ten networks: LinkedIn, X, Instagram, Threads, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, Bluesky, Mastodon and Telegram.
- Send note command, also available as a ribbon icon. Works while editing and in reading view. Uses the selection if there is one, the whole note if there isn't.
- Lists the accounts you have connected in Publora and remembers which ones you used last time.
- Publish now, Schedule for a time you pick, or Save as draft.
- Sends the images and videos embedded in the note,
![[photo.png]]or. You choose which ones go. - Adds an optional first comment under the post on LinkedIn, X, Threads, Bluesky and Mastodon.
- Strips the YAML frontmatter so it doesn't end up in the post. Can be turned off.
[[Links]]become plain text. - Counts characters the way Publora does and names the network a post is too long for.
- Create a Publora account at publora.com. The free plan allows 15 posts a month and three connected accounts, and does not ask for a card.
- Connect at least one social account in the Publora dashboard. The plugin publishes to accounts connected there; it cannot connect them for you.
- In Obsidian, open Settings → Publora and press Connect. Publora opens in your browser, you approve access, and the browser hands you back to Obsidian. Nothing is copied by hand and no password is entered in Obsidian.
- Press Test connection. It should report how many accounts it can see.
There is an API key field under Advanced. Open Settings → API keys in Publora, press Generate API key and paste it. Either method works; the plugin prefers the signed-in account when both are present.
Open a note and run Publora: Send note from the command palette, or click the ribbon icon.
A window opens with your channels, the note text, the images and videos from the note, a first comment field and a time field. Pick the channels, edit the text if you want, then:
- Publish now sends the post out straight away.
- Schedule sends it at the time you set.
- Save as draft keeps it in the Publora dashboard so you can review it first.
Selecting part of a note before running the command sends only that part. This is the quickest way to pull one paragraph out of a longer note.
Nothing goes out by accident. A post is published only when you press Publish now or Schedule. Save as draft keeps it in Publora, which is the easier choice when you want to check it first.
Images and video. Instagram and TikTok need an image or a video, and YouTube needs a video. Add one to the note, or save a draft and attach it in the Publora dashboard. A post takes several images or one video, not both, and each network has its own image limit (four on X, Bluesky and Mastodon, ten on Instagram and LinkedIn). Images can be up to 25 MB and a video up to 150 MB. Files are uploaded from your vault straight to Publora's storage; a web image in the note, , is fetched by Publora.
TikTok asks who can see the post. Pick Everyone, Followers, Friends or Only me before publishing there. YouTube gets the note's name as the video title.
Pinterest accounts are not listed: Publora can connect them but not post to them yet. Accounts whose access has expired are shown greyed out until you reconnect them in Publora.
Your credentials stay local. The token from signing in, or the API key if you use one, is stored in this vault's plugin data. It is sent only to Publora: https://api.publora.com for posting and https://mcp.publora.com for the sign-in itself. The plugin talks to no other host.
Signing in uses PKCE. The plugin registers itself with Publora on first use and holds no client secret. The browser returns through Obsidian's own obsidian:// link, so the code never passes through anyone else. Tokens refresh on their own; Disconnect removes them from the vault.
Character limits. The counter counts the way Publora does, with an emoji as two characters, and names any network the text is too long for. On X and Threads a long post goes out as a thread instead.
No double posts. The buttons are locked while a post is being sent, and each request carries an idempotency key, so a repeated send does not publish twice. If an upload fails halfway, the unfinished post is deleted and nothing is published.
