Sync current-version badge to 0.5.0#4
Merged
Conversation
The Introduction page (and faq/plugins) hardcoded "Current version: 0.4.0" and the README had drifted to 0.4.5 independently, so the live docs showed a stale version after the 0.5.0 release. Bump the badge to 0.5.0 across introduction/faq/plugins/README, rewrite the intro + README What's-new to the 0.5.0 depth-release highlights, and refresh the FAQ test count. pyxle.dev's build-docs now also auto-syncs the badge from pyproject so it can't drift again.

The docs Introduction page showed Current version: 0.4.0 (beta) (and the README had drifted to 0.4.5) after the 0.5.0 release. Bumps the badge to 0.5.0 across introduction/faq/plugins/README, refreshes the intro + README "What's new" to the 0.5.0 highlights, and updates the FAQ test count.
Paired with a pyxle.dev change that makes
build-docs.mjsauto-sync theCurrent versionbadge frompyproject.toml, so it can never silently drift again (verified: a bogus badge in the .md still renders the real version).
