Summary

  • Add a Dockerfile and Compose file so docker compose up -d --build starts WebToApp on port 8000.
  • The default image includes the JDK, Android SDK and apktool. WITH_ANDROID=0 skips them and Android falls back to a PWA zip.
  • Generated apps live in a volume; signing keys stay in ./certs. Deploy docs in every language describe the command.

Fixes

Fixes #132

Test plan

  • docker compose config accepts docker-compose.yml.
  • docker compose up -d --build serves http://127.0.0.1:8000/healthz.
  • Rebuild the image and confirm apps under the webtoapp-generated volume are still there.
  • WITH_ANDROID=0 docker compose up -d --build still starts, with Android falling back to a PWA zip.
  • CI green (required check: test (3.11))

Notes for review

The Docker daemon was not running in the development environment, so the image itself has not been built yet. Compose config was validated. The first full build needs outbound access to dl.google.com and GitHub.

Made with Cursor

Self-hosters were assembling the Android toolchain by hand. The image carries it, and generated apps survive a rebuild.
