Review stuck on first article #78

Description

@Mateusz-Dobrzynski

Describe the bug
The review feature is not working. The first article is being shown over and over again.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Create an empty deck.
  2. Click the deck name to enter deck overview.
  3. Import several (e.g. 15) Incremental Reading articles (Alt+3).
  4. Click "Study Now" to start review.
  5. Click "Show answer" and then "Later".
  6. See a notification "Card moved to position n".
  7. See that the previous note is shown again.
  8. Press 3.
  9. See that the articles' order has not been updated and the currently shown article is still on top of the list, instead of being on n-th position.

Expected behavior
After completing step 5:

  • The next article in order should be presented, as per the queue shown when pressing 3 during review.
  • The articles queue should be updated to reflect changes shown by the notification seen in step 6.

Specs (please complete the following information):

  • OS: Debian GNU/Linux 12 (bookworm) x86_64
  • Anki Version 25.09.2
  • Incremental Reading Version v4.13.0 (as per manifest.json)

Sorry I'm not actively using this addon at the moment so won't be able to help much. But can you try switching to Priority scheduling mode and see if that fixes the problem. If yes, I'll probably mark that as default and start deprecating the Manual mode as I find the Manual mode pretty confusing and a bit buggy.

I was just trying out the addon and had the same issue (perfect timing!). Switching to priority scheduling fixed the problem, thanks! I also agree that scheduling cards is much simpler this way.

Sadly, switching to priority scheduling did not fix it for me. I changed the options, restarted the app, tried reviewing old cards and importing new ones, this time with set priority, and the issue persisted. After clicking "Next", nothing happens and the first article is presented over and over again.

I found a clunky workaround that makes this add-on somewhat usable for me: burying/suspending a card reveals the next one in the queue. However, clicking "Next"/"Show answer" unburies/unsuspends the card and reverts the new cards counter.
