Version number in opencollection.yml causes: "Unable to parse opencollection.yml: bruno.json format is invalid" #172

Description

@ddt3

Introduction

Problem

I am using a collection that was imported from Postman.

The collection opens correctly in Bruno Desktop, but opening the same collection in the VS Code extension generates the following error:

Unable to parse opencollection.yml: bruno.json format is invalid

Environment

  • Bruno VS Code Extension: 6.0.0

Analysis

After investigating the issue, I found that the error is triggered when the version field is present under info:

info:
  name: Test-Collection
  version: "1.0.0"

According to the OpenCollection specification, the info.version property is valid and supported:

OpenCollection Specification

This suggests that the VS Code extension may not be handling a valid OpenCollection schema correctly.

Steps to Reproduce

The following opencollection.yml opens without errors:

opencollection: 1.0.0

info:
  name: Test-Collection

bundled: false

extensions:
  bruno:
    ignore:
      - node_modules
      - .git

The following opencollection.yml generates an error in the VS Code extension, while still opening correctly in Bruno Desktop:

opencollection: 1.0.0

info:
  name: Test-Collection
  version: "1.0.0"

bundled: false

extensions:
  bruno:
    ignore:
      - node_modules
      - .git

Expected Behavior

The collection should open successfully in the VS Code extension, as info.version is a valid property according to the OpenCollection specification.

Actual Behavior

The VS Code extension reports the following error:

Unable to parse opencollection.yml: bruno.json format is invalid
