Shall we close the FileIO PR and forget about this API? I don't think it is a great fit. FileIO works great for images and audio, for which there are many formats, and you usually want to load the whole thing at once. LAS files are quite different, often you want custom behavior. |

Sure, FileIO also seems a bit dead at the moment, although I still like the idea of having a register of Julia packages that are able/work with a specific extension. |
