xmd aka extended markdown, is a small functional overlay language that enhances plain md files into an interactive, programmable notebook directly in your editor.
xmd adds quality of life features like syntax highlighting of money, dates, times and durations. it also allows you to name variables, do math directly within a md note and it inlays the results so notes are reactive and dynamic.
