### Releases and builds

Release artifacts are built by the GitHub Actions workflow in
`.github/workflows/release.yml`. The workflow runs when a maintainer pushes a
tag matching `v*`, creates a GitHub release, and uploads Debian packages for
PostgreSQL 14 through 18 on `amd64` and `arm64`.

The release workflow currently installs `cargo-pgrx`, initializes it with the
target PostgreSQL version, and packages the extension with:

```bash
cargo pgrx package --pg-config /usr/lib/postgresql/<pg-version>/bin/pg_config --no-default-features --features pg<pg-version>
```

Community contributors usually do not need to create releases. After a PR is
merged, watch for a matching `v*` tag or GitHub release to confirm that
installable artifacts have been built. Supabase platform availability can lag
the GitHub release; to check the version available in a Supabase project, use
the version query documented in [Using pg_graphql with Supabase](supabase.md#upgrading).
