WHAT

Updates runtime, connector, accelerator, and model documentation for changes since v2.2.

WHY

Several pages omit supported behavior or describe outdated configuration.

HOW

Corrects Vertex AI authentication, Cayenne capabilities, CDC recovery, cache configuration, and CLI runtime selection. Reference text retains required settings and operational limits in concise, objective prose.

Validation: Docusaurus production build passed with Git metadata disabled for the local jj workspace.

…every one

A stale_while_revalidate_ttl invalidation records the table as changed and
returns before reaching the backend, so neither engine scans. Moka's
non-SWR path registers a predicate rather than scanning either.

Describe what a table does today first, and put the pre-v2.2.0
microsecond-normalizing tables in a called-out note. v2.2.0, not v2.3.0, is
where a table started keeping its source's timestamp unit (spiceai/spiceai#13180
is in the v2.2.0 tag).

Drop the Map storage prose from the Cayenne page: the accelerator data type
table already carries the stored type for every Arrow type, so the Cayenne
section links to it instead of restating one row.

Stop calling the pingora engine faster. The figure exists only in a source
comment; the cache bench suite does not compare the two engines.

Spice embeds DuckDB v1.4.4 on trunk (spiceai/spiceai#13742 downgraded it from
1.5.5 on 2026-08-30, shipping in v2.2.1). The DuckLake pages claimed 1.5.3.

- vNext catalog page: 1.5.3 -> 1.4.4 (mirrors the connector page fixed in #2186)
- version-2.2.x: v2.2.1 embeds 1.4.4, v2.2.0 embeds 1.5.5
- version-2.1.x: v2.1.2+ embeds 1.5.5, v2.1.0/v2.1.1 embed 1.5.3
- version-2.0.x left unchanged: v2.0.0/v2.0.1 really do embed 1.5.3

…ll said microseconds

spiceai/spiceai#13180 removed TimestampToMicrosecond from Cayenne's creation
rewrite rules, so a table created on v2.2.0 or v2.2.1 keeps its source unit and
timezone. The version-2.2.x snapshot still listed timestamps as normalized to
microseconds and carried the Timestamp(Nanosecond) -> Timestamp(Microsecond)
conversion row.

Mirrors the vNext wording from #2186 into the snapshot the change actually
shipped in. version-2.1.x and earlier are left alone: those releases really do
normalize unconditionally.

spiceai/spiceai#13574 removed the load-time rejection and made Cayenne honor the
overlap window; git tag --contains puts it in v2.2.1 only.

#2186 dropped the limitation bullet from the vNext Cayenne page but left the same
claim standing on reference/spicepod/datasets.md and views.md, which restate
per-engine capability claims and are the usual miss for component-page-only fixes.

- vNext datasets.md/views.md: claim removed
- version-2.2.x: split by patch (v2.2.0 rejects, v2.2.1 supports) on the Cayenne
limitations bullet and both reference pages
- version-2.1.x and older left alone: the rejection is present at v2.1.5, v2.0.1,
  v1.11.6, v1.10.x and v1.9.x
